“Coming to study in Canada is like going into uncharted territory. Suddenly, you’re doing lots of new things or getting interested in lots of new things. And it changes you completely; like the person you were when you came, the person you’ll be when you leave, if you decide to go back and work in your country, it won’t be the same person.”

Video transcript
My name is Céline, I come from Côte d’Ivoire and I study in Winnipeg, Canada.
Saint-Boniface is a small school, but it has all the qualifications of a big school. The classes are barely 15 or 20 students. So, the teachers have the time to help us individually, precisely according to the help you need.
And also, I had a lot of help from the international office after I arrived to integrate, to start getting used to life in Canada.
International students should choose Canada to study because it’s an opportunity to get away from your comfort zone. Here you have the option of studying either in French completely, like at school and outside, or in French at school and in English outside. There’s a very good community here that welcomes you very easily.
After I graduate, I’m going to be a research assistant and I’d like to obtain my residence so that I can then study medicine and, if possible, work in the army.
There are lots of career opportunities in science here. Because biology and biochemistry aren't just limited to the laboratory, they can be applied to many different fields.
Coming to study in Canada is like going into uncharted territory. Suddenly you’re doing lots of new things or getting interested in lots of new things.
And it changes you completely; like the person you were when you came, the person you’ll be when you leave, if you decide to go back and work in your country, it won’t be the same person. And I liked that a lot. It helped me define myself and know who I am.
