Global Korea Scholarship for Graduate Degrees

Call for applications for the 2024-2025 academic year is closed.

The Government of the Republic of Korea, through the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) , is offering four scholarships for study or research at the Master’s or PhD level in Korean studies, humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, engineering, and other fields of study.

Scholarships for study in South Korea are tenable only at universities that are on the list of eligible universities designated by the National Institute for International Education (NIIED). Applicants must choose a field of study that is included in this list. To consult the list, visit the 2024 Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) for Graduate Degree Application Guidelines .

The Korean government has provided scholarships to 6,556 international students from 148 nations since 1967, and supports approximately 2,000 students annually.

Application process

Applicants must complete the 2024 GKS Application Form and provide the supporting documents.

The deadline to apply is March 4, 2024
