Scholarships in Japan for Canadian students

April 23, 2024 – Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) is offering scholarships to Canadian students wishing to pursue studies at a Japanese university.

The call for applications is now open for the following categories.

Research Students

• Funding organizations: Government of Japan
• Target audiences: Canadians with a Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Duration: 2 years or 18 months
• Inclusions: Tuition fees, monthly allowance and round trip flight
• Deadline: May 8, 2024

Undergraduate Students

• Funding organizations: Government of Japan
• Target audiences: Canadians with a high school diploma or higher
• Duration: 5 years or 7 years
• Inclusions: Tuition fees, monthly allowance and round trip flight
• Deadline: May 31, 2024
