"I am honored to have been awarded the prestigious Global Affairs Canada scholarship. The scholarship has given me more than just a moment of joy - it has given me a future.
My studies in Canada focused on my doctoral research topic: Public Debt Structure and Financial Sector Development on Inclusive Development in Sub-Saharan Africa. Thanks to the scholarship, I had an opportunity to benefit from the stimulating academic and research environment at the Dalhousie University. I was also able to make significant progress in my research and intellectual growth through well-organized research seminars and conferences. I got the opportunity to present a research paper to the Atlantic Canada Economic Association (ACEA), which was accepted for a conference presentation during their 50th Anniversary Conference and their annual meeting, which was hosted at St. Mary’s University, Halifax, Canada.
Furthermore, I appreciated the Canadian culture and experience. The welcoming and safe atmosphere with the sense of acceptance, tolerance, respect and inclusivity made my stay in Canada wonderful and memorable. I also met other international students and researchers and I am hoping to have international research collaborations in the future."
